Best music shop in town
It’s easy to miss this gem if you don’t pay attention, but make sure you stop by Lale Plak. Hakan Atala, the owner of Lale, is the second generation running this store which used to sell many things including music records until Hakan took over. Mid-1980s Hakan decided to focus his business on music and stocked up his 40m2 (less than 400 square feet) store with records and tapes back then. Today he has more than ten thousand CDs; mainly classic, jazz and ethnic music but also best of Turkish tunes. So, if you’re after a special tune stop by Lale and start a conversation with Hakan and or his staff. You’ll like it here.
Open daily from 9:30am to 8pm. Closed on Sundays.
